Terms of service

“We”, “us” and “Masterpaw” mean Masterpaw. “You” means the person using the site or placing an order. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.

Every portrait is made to order from the photos and details you give us. That's why we show you a proof and only print after you approve it — and why we can't take returns for a change of mind after approval (see Refunds & remakes).

• Free preview: before you pay, we may show you a quick, low-resolution, watermarked preview of your pet in the style you chose. It shows the direction, not the final artwork. Your final portrait may differ in costume, pose, background and detail.
• Final proof: after you order, we create the full-resolution portrait, review it, and email you a proof showing exactly how the print will look. From the moment you order, your portrait is shown to you without the watermark.
• Colors on screens vary. Printed colors can look slightly different from your phone or monitor.

• You can approve the proof or request changes from the link in your proof email.
• Up to 3 rounds of revisions are included free. We'll do our best with extra requests but can't promise them.
• Auto-approval: if you don't approve or request changes within 48 hours of us sending a proof, it's approved automatically and we print it as shown. This keeps delivery dates on track. Reply to the proof email if you need more time.
• Please check names, dates and spelling on the proof. We print the text exactly as approved.

When you upload a photo, you confirm that you took it or have the right to use it, and that using it to make your portrait doesn't break anyone's rights.

You let us use the photo only to create, review, print and deliver your portrait and to support your order. We delete photos as described in our privacy policy.

We may decline or cancel (with a full refund) any order or upload that includes:

• people (portraits are of pets only),
• inappropriate, hateful, violent or illegal content,
• characters, costumes, logos or brands from films, TV, games, comics, sports teams or companies,
• likenesses of celebrities or other real people, or
• anything we believe would infringe someone else's rights.

Our costumes and scenes are original designs.

Portraits are digitally created with AI-assisted tools and reviewed by our team before printing. Portraits are not hand-painted or hand-illustrated. Because each portrait is generated and finished individually, no two are exactly alike, and we can't recreate a specific example from our site exactly.

• You receive the physical print you ordered and, if you bought it, a high-resolution digital file. You may use your portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes: hang it, gift it, share it online, use it as a phone wallpaper, print copies for yourself and your family.
• Please don't resell the artwork or use it on products for sale without our written permission.
• We won't use your pet's portrait or photo in our marketing without your separate permission. Our site, brand, designs and example images remain ours.

• Prices are in US dollars and include free US shipping. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
• We take payment when you order, through Stripe. Promotions apply only as stated and can't be combined unless we say so.
• If we make a pricing mistake, we'll contact you before your order is made, and you can cancel for a full refund.

We ship to US addresses. Delivery dates are estimates. Our shipping page and refunds & remakes policy are part of these terms.

We work hard to get every portrait right and to make good on our promises. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where Masterpaw is based, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first — most problems are solved with a quick email.
